Bawean Deer Reserved

This deer reserved is located in Beto Gebang Pudakit Barat, Sangkapura district. It is about 10km from Sangkapura with 30 minutes trip. To reach this reserved that located in the hill area, you can use it motorcycle or car. The road is pretty good, at least to reach the closest village. But when you enter the forest area, the road is not too good because is not paved yet. But this uncomfortable road will be difficult to passed only in rainy season because the wet ground is so slippery when rain.

Bawean Deer or Axis Kulii that live in Bawean Deer reserved is not transfer animal from another reserved. So, the 30 deers is native habitat of Bawean island. This reserved is located at foot part of Mount Gadung and borders with Bawean conservation forest. The location is very potential for study tour, research and eco-tourism. Surely, the reserved is still fresh and there are many various birds here. The cliffs that surrounded the reserved are the recommended object for climbers. The wide of the reserved is about 4hectares.

Meanwhile, the deer itself is wild and endemic, not same as others reserved and the visitors are not allowed to give some food to them. But here, the visitors can enjoy the beautiful cliffs and birds chirp. It so calm and natural.

By this Bawean Deer reserved, hopefully the Bawean Deer habitat has reserve and not extinct.

 

Grojogan Candi Waterfall

The visitors can say that Grojogan Candi waterfall is greeting spot of Kastoba lake because the distance is only a few steps from parking area to track path to Kastoba. The waterfall which was under Kastoba Lake and sourced water also from Kastoba Lake. The distance from Kastoba is about 200m, here you can swim, or bathe under the waterfall.

This waterfall is located in the middle of woods and still very natural, so it bring its coolness. Grojogan Candi waterfall falls flowing through the hills and very clear. Beside enjoy the fresh waterfalls, visitors will also enjoy the natural atmosphere around. Its green water and nature will make the visitor admires to this tourist area.

Kastoba Lake

Besides those beautiful beach tourism and small islands, Bawean also has a very exotic lake. Kastoba lake is located in Paromaan village, Candi, Tambak district, Bawean Gresik. It takes only one and a half hour drive from Sangkapura dock, by passing Bawean road. Kastoba lake located on a high hill enough. There are hundreds of steps that you must go through the undergrowth on either side of the road. Must be careful to get to the top, because the road to the lake is still very natural.

Quiet and peaceful atmosphere will greet you in a lake with 725 ha width. Its location on a hill surrounded by trees make the air feel so cool. Of course this will make you want to stay all day in the only lake in Bawean island. Lush green landscape with giant shade trees, the very clean and clear lake water will make all visitors feel at home.

To reach the lake is not easy. The visitors should be go to Peromaan village, Tambak district. Arrive in the village, visitors must walk through the path then enter the forest. The road is up and down through hills and have to walk for about 1 Km to get to Kastoba Lake. It because the Kastoba lake is located on hill. But this not discourage the tourists. There still many visitors visit the lake in holidays. Kastoba lake gives special feels to those nature lovers. Besides, there are many rare animal species and various insects that not same as others insect in Indonesia. So that, this location has a tremendous appeal and it is difficult to compare with other tourist destinations in Indonesia.

Labuhan Beach

Labuhan beach is a tourist icon in Bawean island located in Tanjunggori village, Tambak district. The beach is known for its beautiful and worthy for such marine tourism just like in Kuta beach Bali and other. Labuhan beach is also known for its beaches with an abundance of charm underwater. When dusk comes, this place is the most appropriate place to see the moment of sunset in the west of Bawean island.

Labuhan beach is virgin beach with so clean sand that spread on the beach. It also has so calm waves so the visitors can swim here. The visitors will also meet some crabs houses around the beach. So fantastic and wonderful beach to visit

Laccar Waterfall

Laccar waterfall is located in Laccar sub-village, Kebun teluk dalam village, Sangkapura district, about 15 km from the center Sangkapura district. The location can reached by four wheel drive vehicles up to Laccar sub-village. Arrive the tourist sites, not directly meet the waterfall, but you have to walk through forest path which surrounded by palm trees as far as about 500 meters. Continued by passed the rocky river about 200 meters, then get to Laccar waterfall area. This waterfall has about 25 meters height with artistic cliffs background, but for last ten years, the water flow is heavily and has influenced by season. If the rainy season comes, the water flows swift and mighty strength. Otherwise, during the dry season, the water becomes more weak. This tourist area has surrounded by hills that covered with leafy trees, provides cool air atmosphere. Of course, this condition makes visitors feel comfortable to enjoy the roar of the water that falls in between the rocks and the chirping sounds of variety birds and monkeys of forest dwellers around Laccar waterfall. Those are heard at any time, as if to greet all visitors who come to enjoy the beauty of natural scenery.

Water spilled from the height of the rock cliffs flowing downstream, give freshness and beautiful scenery atmosphere. This is the incredible tourism potential of Laccar waterfall. While the nature atmosphere around gives coolness with a gentle breeze blowing wet, with rocks piled which is usually used as a stopover for many people and ready to play a natural shower or swim in cool pool. Laccar waterfall will always be a potential natural destination in Bawean. Beside Laccar waterfall, Laccar sub-village also has beautiful environment, natural footpaths in the forest and then pass through a river with twisted contortion water flow to get to the waterfall are giving particular challenge for visitors. Along the way to the waterfall, visitors will encountered wildlife such as monkeys and various birds chirping, which adds the nature impression. If you want to having trip, Laccar waterfall gives a lot of study objects, for example want to learn zoning aquatic ecosystem of the river, the oxygen content of water, biodiversity palm trees, the classification of Bryophyta (mosses) and pteridophyta (ferns), closely acquainted to Spermatophyta plants (drupe plants), the types of rocks, erosion and landslides, and many other things that can be learned.

Murtalaya Waterfall

All Bawean people surely knowing well with Murtalaya. The visitors will passed the winding road and if you look down, there is a deep ravine. In this ravine, you will see beautiful nature scenery with river and rocks that so neatly. The special of this waterfall is the neat rocks with nature atmosphere around.

Noko Island

Noko Island is a very small island, uninhabited, and has wide enough of white sand. The water is crystal clear, the island is clean, and the sand is smooth. The waves are calm or even almost no waves. The island which adjacent to Gili Island has about one square kilometer with the rest of the land is filled by beautiful white sand. It is suitable for beach and underwater lovers. You can also snorkel to enjoy the underwater beauty, with of course bring your own tools.

Gili Island or Gili Timur Island is a small island within 2.3 km east of Bawean island. To visit this island, you can cross by renting a fishing boat and need about 30 minutes trip. Gili Island is one of dense inhabited island in Bawean. There are about 700 heads of families of various ethnic groups living in this island. Gili island offers beaches with beautiful white sand. Noko Selayar

Noko Selayar is a mountain in the middle of sea, separated from Bawean land. Selayar tourist destination located in Sungairujing village, Sangkapura district. Noko Selayar is just like a mound of white sand. No home, no more trees, almost nothing other than smooth white sand.

Access to the island is very easy, can ride a motorcycle or a car. Whereas to get to the island, you can use speed boat or boat motor with about 4.5 km distance and can reach for about 20 minutes from Bawean island. With about 6000 m2 area, Noko Selayar offers the charm of beauty underwater. The uniqueness of the island is the position of the island (hills) which located in offshore.

Around the island (in the middle of sea) is full of scenic rocks and shrubs. There are many sea shells here and on the afternoon, there are many people around come to collect those sea shells. Coral flowers that surround the island forming beautiful marine park, moreover, with their ornamental fish with different colors playing on the sidelines of the sponge. Beside, the coral reefs in Bawean still intact and very nice, the diverse and charming are almost same to Bunaken marine park. The tourism spot on the island is also very suitable for tourists who want snorkeling or diving. Moreover, the waves on the beach is also small, so it would not be an obstacle for tourists who want to swim or snorkel.

Cina Island

Cina Island is very rich of marine life charming. Visitors can dive and enjoy a variety of marine life, such as table coral (coral that formed table), reef fish, sea eel, magpie, starfish, clams and Kima mussels. Thi Tanjung Cina island is quite close to the mainland Bawean. If the low tide, we could even walk to the island from Dedawang sub-village, Telukjatidawang village. Similarly to Nusa Island, Tanjung Cina Island located in west part of Bawean. However, the better spot is in the western and northern part of the island, so if visitors walk from Bawean, you have to turn a bit far.

If the visitors coming from Nusa Island, visitors can use kelotok (traditional boat made from woods material). So you will be greeted with a big enough of lined rock. Now the higher stone is in the north part. Just walk rather bit and you will find ‘Batu Pengantin’ (Bride Stone).

In this Tanjung Cina Island you can not play sand. But for you who like to swim, have fun here. The water is clear and the banks are not too deep

Tanjung Ga’an

One of famous tourist destination in Bawean island is the amazing Tanjung Ga’ang. The unique one of Tanjung Ga’ang is its nature view. The visitors will passed several tourist destinations such as; Tanjung Kodok, rocked coral, and another marine sceneries. Tanjung Ga’ang location is not too far from Sangkapura. It is about 8km, precisely located in Somor-Somor village, Tanjung Kima area, also part of Kumalasa area.

The main interesting of Tanjung Ga’ang is its beautiful coral cliffs. Those cliffs are very famous for Bawean visitors, even it has said that there is marble contains in those cliffs. From the cliffs, the visitors can enjoy the beautiful and clear water with the colorful fishes. Tanjung Ga’ang itself can divided into three tourism spots. First, enjoy the expanse of cliffs from the sea by boat charter. Second, enjoy the expanse of wide coral by looking at the beauty of the sea water. And the last one is Tanjung Kodok beach in before we climbed the rocks, when we will be over the cliff.

Tanjung Ga’ang is stretch of very wide coral above the clear blue sea. So the first option to enjoy Tanjung Ga’ang is enjoy the cliffs along with a chartered boat ride. The stunning coral scenery, the blue color of the sea as seen from the corals, will pay your hard journey to reach this spot. Besides, visitors can also swim, sun bathing and snorkeling.

Tanjung Kima

Tanjung Kima is another tourist destination in Bawean island which offers its stunning and beauty coral. Tanjung Kima is near to Tanjung Ga’ang, about 8km from Sangkapura districts. It is located in Somor-Somor village, Sangkapura district. If you go to Tanjung Ga’ang, then you have to pass this Tanjung Kima first because the two objects is indeed inline.

In this area visitors will be treated by coconut trees view. After passing through the forest and Somor-Somor village, visitors will reach Tanjung Kima beach. Elongated beaches with smooth sand soaked by sea water get near to the shore. Rocks spread in almost all beach. If visitors continue the journey towards Tanjung Ga’ang, then after this Tanjung Kima, you will arrive in Tanjung Kodok then go to Tanjung Ga’ang.
